AI SEO Analysis: What It Can Tell You, and What It Cannot

Automated analysis finds technical gaps in minutes. It cannot read intent, competition or local reality. On using it with its limits in view.

AI SEO Analysis: What It Can Tell You, and What It Cannot

Pressing a button in a panel and getting an SEO report is routine now. The real question is: what does that report actually know, and what is it guessing?

Where automated analysis is strong

A machine measures the measurable, quickly and without fatigue. This part is genuinely valuable:

  • Missing or duplicated page titles and descriptions
  • Pages with a broken heading hierarchy (no h1, a jump from h2 to h4)
  • Images without alternative text
  • Broken links and redirect chains
  • Contradictions between your sitemap and your robots rules
  • How slowly a page loads, and which resource is responsible

The list looks dull, yet these are the things that most often hold rankings back. The good news: every item is fixable, and the fix is verifiable.

What it cannot tell you

Here you need care. Automated analysis does not know:

  • Search intent. Is the person typing “web design” after prices, a portfolio, or an urgent repair? The report gives you the phrase, not the intent.
  • The real strength of the competition. The site ranking first may sit on years of accumulated trust; a score cannot compress that into one number.
  • Local reality. The question your customers actually ask, the district name, the seasonal swing — you know these, the tool does not.
  • Whether the content is true. Fluent, confident and wrong can still score well.

The machine measures; the human decides

A healthy workflow

Treat the analysis as a defect list, not a strategy. Our order: close the technical gaps first (these are not up for debate), then decide as a human which page answers which question, and only then use AI for drafting — always followed by editing.

One warning

No tool can guarantee rankings; walk away from anyone who promises it. And AI will happily invent sources, statistics and dates inside the text it produces. Check where a number came from before you publish it — this is a question of your brand’s credibility.

Automated analysis saves you time; it does not set your direction. You do. Read the other posts on the blog, or write to us to review your site’s current state together.
